Norm

Well, this Thanksgiving art Kayla did pretty much says it all. Her teachers asked her what she was most thankful for. Here's what she said...
Now, most parents would be pretty upset about these results, but we just laughed. Let me tell you a little bit about our kitty cat Norman, the son we had before Kayla...

1. Norman and I lived together in the home of Jenni and Brad Westergaard when I was in college in 2005. It was a love-hate relationship, but mostly hate because I was allergic to him, he always snuck into my room, jumped up on my bed, and got cat hair everywhere. I would shut the door, but it was an old home and the knob wouldn't turn all the way and he would open it. That's #2.
2. Norman opens doors. No, he doesn't have hands, but if a door is cracked open, he will proceed to open it all the way so he may enter or exit the room.
3. Norman drinks from the toilets. Yes, he has a full water bowl every day, but he chooses to drink out of odd places.
4. Norman will ALWAYS jump up on the sink right when you are trying to get ready in the morning, or when you are winding down at night. Not because he wants love, but because he wants you to turn on the water so that he can drink from the faucet.
5. Norman weighed in at his last appointment at around 19 pounds so naturally a nickname we have for him is "fat cat".
6. Norman will come when he's called by name, or at least "meow" in response.
7. Norman will follow you to any room in the house that you go to, just like a dog.
8. Norman will meow outside any door until you let him in or out. He's very persistent.
9. Norman will lick the condensation off of anything...cans, cups, and popsicles.
Don't all cats like to lick popsicles?

10. Norman is loved by all who meet him, but especially by his family because he is one special kitty.
